Candle Holder made from Barrel Staves, candle holder, Glassybaby holder, Glassybaby, centerpiece

These candle holders are an attractive and unique addition to your home. They make a perfect centerpiece on your dining table or decorative accent on a mantle or shelf. They are crafted using Oak Wood from used Wine or Whiskey Barrels. The wood maintains the curve of the barrel and features a dark side from the barrel charring and months/years of soaking wine or whiskey. Two coats of tung oil are applied to help protect the wood while keeping a more natural look and feel.



Wine barrel staves are stained red from the wine on one side may include markings from barrel straps or other aspects of using the barrel on the other. Similarly, whiskey barrel staves are a dark gray, almost black on one side from the charring and time soaking in the whiskey. It is natural and expected to see some imperfections, cracks and color variations on this type of reclaimed wood.

As shown, the candle holder is designed to hold either 4 2” diameter candles or 3 Glassybaby brand candle holders. (Candles or Glassybaby not included). Each unit is approximately 14-16” long, +/- 3” wide and about 4-5” high (without candles in place). The width is determined by the size of the barrel stave used and is naturally tapered to be wider in the center and narrower towards the ends. The height and length can possibly be adjusted, so message me with any specific requests. The Glassybaby holders need to use a wider barrel stave and have the spaces set further apart.

The candle holders are made to order, so please note the processing time. I will always try to complete your order as quickly as possible, but it does take some time to create. Shipping within the US is free on this item.

I am also able to make variations of this item like different diameter candles, adjusting the length with a different number of candles, a wall hanging version and/or using whiskey barrel staves instead wine barrel. Please Note: All pieces of wood contain natural grain patterns, knots and other characteristics make each piece naturally unique, so no 2 pieces are ever exactly the same. Reclaimed wood such as this may contain small cracks or voids as well and this is normal and expected. I take steps to stabilize and smooth out the cracks and voids that are reachable to help keep them from getting more severe. Any visible defects then become a a natural feature of the wood adding to character of the piece. So know that every item sold here is truly unique and a one-of-a-kind.
